We had a really nice stay at Sala Bai. Our room was beautiful, we got welcome drinks and cold towels (really much needed) and the staff was very friendly. I could visit the school premises and ask questions about the project and the NGO, which was really interesting, too. We had to leave early so they packed us breakfast beforehand. If you are in Siem Reap this place is a must! Thank you social bnb :)

Hotel. Ist eine Tourismusschule für benachteiligte Kinder. Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zeitweise Kommunikationsprobleme mit den Schülern. Sehr gutes Frühstück, schönes Zimmer. Empfehlenswert. Leider kein Dinner.

About the project
Sala Baï was created in 2002 by the French NGO 'Agir pour le Cambodge' to fight poverty and human trafficking in Cambodia through social and professional training of young underprivileged Cambodians. Every year, Sala Baï School trains 100 to 150 students in hospitality at no charge to them. This program is exclusively devoted to helping underprivileged young Cambodians, with priority given to girls (70%) who are more vulnerable and who have less access to education. In 19 years, more than 1,800 students have been trained and have found a job in the hospitality industry, one of the most dynamic economic sector of the country, enabling them to achieve economic independence and improve the living conditions of their families. Vocational training is one of the fastest and most efficient ways of fighting poverty and human trafficking.
