socialbnb is an independent social enterprise based in Cologne, Germany. Founded in 2021 by Alex Haufschild and Nils Lohmann, it originated from a student project aimed at promoting sustainable tourism while supporting social and environmental projects worldwide.
Bookings are handled automatically through the socialbnb platform. Once you find accommodation or an experience, create a profile, select your travel dates, and submit a request. If the host has availability, they will confirm your stay within 48 hours.
For travelers
Cancellation policies vary depending on the project provider. Please review the provider's cancellation terms on their profile before booking. In most cases, cancellations are free up to 30 days before your trip begins.
Yes, your booking and payment are secure. socialbnb has insolvency protection and collaborates with global payment providers like Stripe and PayPal.
