About the project
Omuti Kreativ is a registered company limited by guarantee and not having share capital. For ten years the two founders have been using creative arts for social change with a focus on theatre, film and documentary to work with groups throughout Uganda to address burning social issues and stimulate dialogue. In 2015 the two artists launched the “End Child Trafficking Campaign Uganda", a grassroots campaign that raises awareness of child and human trafficking in Uganda and uses creative arts methods to empower children and youth.
The success of this campaign made Rogers Williams Mpaata aka Otako and Adnan Senkumba in 2018 join forces and formed an organization Omuti Kreativ that offers free safe artistic spaces, creative arts training, and cultural exchange for youth and children within Uganda. The organization also empowers children, young people and other minority groups with information about social justice and fundamental Human Rights and freedom of expression.
