Day 1 – Arrival — Entebbe: Welcome to the Pearl of Africa
Arrive in Entebbe, where Iain greets you and takes you to a family guesthouse by Lake Victoria. Gather with your small group over a welcome dinner, sharing hopes for the uplifting journey ahead. Guests are welcome to arrive earlier to ease into the rhythm of Uganda.
Days 1–2 — Murchison Falls: Safari with Purpose
Travel north to Uganda’s largest national park, where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge before plunging into a thunderous waterfall. Across rolling savannah and riverine forest, watch elephants, giraffes, and lions on game drives, and take a boat safari to the base of the falls. Alongside rangers, learn how conservation supports local livelihoods, with part of our group fund contributing directly to habitat restoration and anti-poaching.
Days 3–5 — Acholiland & Gulu: Stories of tribal tradition, war, renewal and hope
Immerse yourself in Gulu’s vibrant spirit. Wander its bustling market, taste local foods, and share stories with traders. Step into an Acholi homestead where music and dance welcome you, and meet resilient women in Gulu’s slum rebuilding their lives with courage and enterprise. Visit historic Fort Patiko with insights from explorer Samuel Baker’s descendant. Over three days, cook with families, join young people rebuilding a future through sport and music, and reflect each evening on how these encounters connect to Uganda’s future
Days 6–8 — Kidepo Valley: Wild Landscapes, Deeper Lessons
Venture into Uganda’s remote northeast. Morning and evening game drives reveal one of Africa’s most untouched ecosystems. At night, stargaze and reflect with local guides on the vastness of creation, land stewardship, and the interdependence of wildlife and communities
Days 9–10 — Karamoja & Moroto: Culture, Craft & Mountain Trails
Step off the map in Karamoja, a land of sweeping plains and rugged foothills where proud pastoral communities invite you into one of Africa’s last great frontiers. Hike with local guides, share stories of survival and change, and learn traditional skills in artisan workshops. Meet a community re-greening their land before evenings of music, dance, and storytelling by the fire. A highlight is overnighting with this remarkable community — authentic encounters, never staged.
Days 11–12 — Padhola & Tororo: Partnership in Action
Discover Tororo, the homeland of the Jopadhola people, whose warm hospitality and deep-rooted farming traditions shape daily life beneath the dramatic Tororo Rock. Here, families and small entrepreneurs open their homes and hearts: cook together in village kitchens, walk through vibrant markets, and share meals that tell stories of resilience. Meet grassroots leaders growing micro-enterprises and, for those who wish, spend a night in a homestay — a rare chance to experience the dignity, joy, and community spirit of Jopadhola life.
Days 13–14 — Jinja: Adventure, Slow Travel & Shared Legacy
In Uganda’s adventure capital, choose your rhythm: raft the Nile, cycle village trails, explore a coffee project, or simply practice yoga by the river. After huge experiences, Jinja offers time to recover and reflect. Together we gather in a Giving Circle, deciding how part of the tour fund will support the enterprises and conservation projects we’ve met. No extra donations required — just transparent, shared legacy-making.
Day 15 — Entebbe: Closing Reflections and Departure
Return to Entebbe for a final celebration meal. As we share memories, we also look ahead — continuing the journey through the alumni network, staying connected to the people and projects we’ve walked alongside. Your trip ends, but the story doesn’t.
