Activities

In the homestay, you can watch or participate in the preparation of traditional dishes or bread baking in a tandir oven. Ulugbek’s homestay is an ideal starting point for short or longer mountain hikes into the Nuratau Mountains. It is also possible to hike to the next guesthouse in the Asraf valley or hike to another homestay in Hayat village.

Uhum is one of the ancient and largest villages in the Nuratau Mountains so you have a lot to discover. You may hike to a petroglyph site in the Nuratau Nature Reserve or visit the ruins of an ancient fortress and the mausoleum of an Islamic priest who was the first to preach the religion in this region...
