Highlights
Contribute to important conservation work in the Greek islands
This is what your adventure trip looks like
People will be involved in research to generate the information needed to safeguard ecosystems and wildlife legally and also to guide other related decisions to protect them on the ground.
People participating in the volunteer program have accommodation in our Kalamos island biological field station main building in Kalamos island and are given a bed in the mixed-sex dorm bed area unless this is full or for any related reason such as maintenance in which case they may sleep in one of the four beds in the second floor subject to prior agreement of Terra Sylvestris and the relevant person. Kitchen, bathroom and sitting and work areas of the station can be used by volunteers, except offices, which are open and have space they can potentially use at relevant office hours of the station as detailed in the station field guide. All work area use and accommodation costs above are covered by the participation fee. At times, Terra Sylvestris sets up temporary camping in fairly remote areas where it works in. People optionally participate in this during their time with us
