About your accomodation
The accommodation is located on the grounds of the tropical station, right on the edge of the Piedras Blancas National Park.
The Tropical Station has a total of 6 buildings: the main building and reception, 2 accommodation buildings (Casa Matula and Casa Nueva), the Comedor (kitchen and dining veranda) and the research workshop with adjoining lecture hall.
You will be accommodated in one of the two accommodation buildings.The double rooms are simply furnished, but cozy and clean.The bathrooms are equipped with barrier-free shared showers and toilets.Meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are included in the price.
The garden surrounding the buildings on the ward provides relaxation and recreation...

Activities
Due to the close proximity to the national park and the village of La Gamba, exciting excursions can be undertaken. We have put together some half-day and full-day tours that can be undertaken directly from the station.
These include activities such as horse riding, hiking, river walks, night walks, visits to various projects (e. g. Corredor Biológico La Gamba - COBIGA), hikes to waterfalls and much more!

How to get there
The tropical station is located near the Pacific coast in the southwest of Costa Rica, 8 km north of Golfito and 4 km from the Panamericana.Golfito, the nearest town, has an airport with connections to San José (Sansa Air, approx.50 minutes, from 150 USD).From there you can get to the station by cab or car...
