Looming hostel is a small bohemian eco-hostel in Tartu offering travelers a cozy and sustainable travel experience.
The double room for 2 people is located on the upper floor of the hostel and shares the common room, bathroom and kitchen with other visitors.
In your room you can relax in a twin or double bed, read a book, or simply enjoy the wall paintings and plants that are decorating your room.The bed sheets and duvet covers come from second hand stores and are picked individually to mach the mood of the hostel...

Hi, I'm Maia and I’ll be happy to host you during your stay!
Looming hostel is a eco-hostel run by the NGO Pohlad that aims to reduce the impact of tourism industry on the environment.
We value recycling, reusing and renovating to extend the lifespan of everyday items in our lives.
Looming hostel operates according to sustainable principles and encourages its guests and community members to think along.
→ 90% of the furniture comes from thrift stores, is recycled or built from recycled materials.
→ We use ecological and environmentally friendly products or vinegar solution for cleaning.
→ We wash our bed linen in-house and don't iron it - we prefer to leave it on the clothesline to straighten.
→ We don't offer daily breakfast in the hostel

Although Looming hostel has been described as cozy enough to not go out at all we still recommend to get to know the city.

How to get there
Arriving by bus:
1.If possible exit at the Pauluse bus stop, cross the road on the main crossing and continue straight on the Kastani street.Looming hostel will be on your right hand, light green Art Nouveau style building.To enter go through the gate to the courtyard – the door to the hostel is on the left-hand side next to the signs of Looming hostel and Haldjapere.
