About your accomodation
Our shepherd's hut is a colorful, tiny house on wheels, from where you can enjoy your personal, comfortable nature experience in the heart of Croatia.
The king-size bed can be converted into a bench. The small table and 2 seats on the side can be used as an additional single bed for a third person if needed. The curtains and shutters allow you to completely darken the caravan, so you can easily sleep in and start the day well-rested.
The shepherd's hut has its own kitchenette with pots, pans and two gas burners for cooking. There is a sink with 15 15-litre canister for water...

Hi, I'm Barbara and I’ll be happy to host you during your stay!
We at Bogata Šuma aim to make the world a better place by raising awareness of what you can DO to live more sustainable. We do this through practical permaculture education on the one hand and by setting a good example on the other.
In addition, we are building a village with like minded people to enable a self-sufficient life in harmony with nature for future generations.
Our long-term goal is to become a living open-air museum for a sustainable lifestyle.
Activities
Bogata Šuma has an almost completely edible landscape. There is a half-hour walk around the edges of the site, and 5km and 10km (forest edge) hikes around. There are also nice forest hikes possible around Petrova Gora and to a forgotten Yugoslavian monument (spomenik).
It is possible to get an afternoon …

Location
How to get there
By car: Search "Bogata Suma" in Google Maps.(please do not do this in Apple Maps; some roads have been changed there, so you would end up on the other side of the hill).Alternatively, drive to Knezevic Kosa and you can follow our signs on the road.
By public transport: Take the bus from Karlovac (pronounced as "Karlowatts") to Vojnic (pronounced "Wojneech").Just ask at the bus terminal for the right bus, people will be happy to help you...
