About your accomodation

Hobatere, meaning find him or me in the Nama language, is aptly named - given its location just west of Etosha National Park. Nestled in a forest of large indigenous trees, this intimate lodge comes into view after a 16 km meandering drive through rocky outcrops and riverine vegetation with an abundance of wildlife during the dry season. The highlight of a sojourn at Hobatere Lodge is the 24-hour game viewing opportunity overlooking a water hole where an abundance of wildlife congregates throughout the day and night. Peaceful and quiet days turn into hauntingly beautiful African nights where the roar of a lion is not unusual. There are six Rondawels with no verandah which can accomodate up to 2 people. They come with an en-suite shower, toilet and washbasin plus complimentary toiletries. All the rooms feature a writing desk and bedside lamps as well as a coffee and tea station with a vacuum flask for hot water (refillable at reception). There is a small deck in front of each unit. For relaxing and soaking up the sun there is a secluded swimming pool with loungers next to the main area. A spacious in-door and out-door restaurant is complemented by a lounge, bar area and an outside veranda, where an open fire is lit on chilly nights. Namibian craft items are available in a small shop near the reception.
