Hi, I'm Christien and I’ll be happy to host you during your stay!

Penduka is a registered welfare and non-governmental organisation (NGO), situated in Katutura, Windhoek. The organisation was established in 1992 and focuses on economically vulnerable women and other marginalised communities with the aim to foster and develop sustainable livelihoods for its focus groups via training, skills development, production of crafts, hospitality and a community health programme.

Penduka acts in the informal settlements and rural areas. Our team in Namibia which works in the Penduka campus in Katutura, consists of more than 150 artisans, including 10 Team Leaders. Some of their thriving stories can be found on our

How to get there

Arrival by Pick-Up, Taxi or private car: If you come via the airport by bus or taxi you will stop in the city center. As from there, we can pick you up (please contact us after booking the accommodation to organize a Pick Up Service).
 
Private transport coming from Windhoek Capital city: follow signs with Katutura, stay on Independence avenue, cross Otjimuise road and come on Evelyn street. Take the big curve to the right and take the first big crossroad to the left, from there follow signs with "Penduka"! Since road construction takes place frequently, look out for the Penduka signs in different colours. The gravel road will take you straight to the gate of Penduka.
